Dear Dr. Shannahan,

For the past six months I have been seeking medical care for the treatment of my shoulder injury. This therapy has consisted of cortisone shots, massage, physical therapy and personal training. After months of pain and suffering I then decided to go ahead and schedule surgery on my left shoulder thinking it was my last resort. While waiting for my surgery date, my shoulder became increasingly more uncomfortable. Hoping to get some temporary relief or at least make some attempt to improve my situation, I came to see you. During the initial visit, you explained that you thought that you could, in fact, not only help me, but also potentially avoid surgery altogether. I was skeptical, but I figured I had nothing to lose. To my amazement, within four to five visits, I was completely pain free with 99.99% range of motion in my left arm. As a direct result of your care, I cancelled the surgery. I am now back at the gym and am quickly regaining the strength I had lost in my left arm. Thank you for helping work through this injury and increase the health and quality of my life.

Sincerely,

Michael H.

Dear Dr. Tim,

I'm writing to say thank you for helping me, although saying thank you just doesn't seem to be enough. After two visits with you I feel like a different person. It took a year of stress and tension to cause the lower back and hip pain that brought me in to see you, yet in a matter of days, you restored my quality of life. You helped not only my body, but my mind. We all know the importance of a positive outlook and mine was anything but positive. The chronic pain was causing me to feel depressed and didn't allow me to enjoy long walks along the harbor with my dog, sitting for extended periods of time or, for that matter, a full night's sleep. After only two visits with you, I was smiling and my positive outlook on life had returned! I'm taking 2+ hour walks again with my (grateful) dog, I'm able to sit at my desk all day at work without the pain, and I don't have any trouble falling or staying asleep at night. I'm amazed at how quickly you were able to turn it all around for me, but then you are a truly amazing and caring doctor. I will recommend you to everyone I know, and even people I don't know!

Thank you,

Jeanne E.

Dear Dr. Tim,

I am so thankful that you had a dream of creating an environment where people can come to find serenity, peace, hope, strength and healing. Healing of not only the physical, but the emotional and spiritual as well. How fortunate I am that you had the drive and passion to make it a reality! As you know, I was in such a great deal of pain when I walked through your office door. However, I was not only in physical discomfort, I was also in a lot of emotional discomfort as well. I felt powerless, afraid and vulnerable. That quickly faded when I realized that I truly was in good hands. Thank you so much for your compassion and kindness that you have shown me. I understand that I can be very challenging at times (that happens when one is blessed with having low pain tolerance and high emotions!) If you are anything like me, you question whether you have made an impact in the lives of others. I hope you realize that you have a big one in mine. I feel healthier, stronger and in a lot less pain! Thank you for all that you do.

Always,

Jean S.

P.S. Did I mention I am happier as well? :)
